Youth Section promotes women
|

The Young Workers Movement of the General Workers Union of Malta has been around since 1944.
|
|
One of its first female members, Agatha Barbara, went on to become the first female President of the Republic of Malta. Now called the Youth Section, it conducts annual educational activities as well as cultural and recreational activities for GWU members under the age of 35.
