Founded in Hong Kong by independent trade unionist Han Dongfang, China Labour Bulletin (CLB) is promoting independent, democratic union organizing, and the protection of labour rights and standards in mainland China. Assists Chinese workers that need judicial help to claim compensation for work injuries. Does also publish news, newsletters and research.

USA-based NGO "whose mission is the defense of workers' rights in China". A lot of their work focus on the garment and shoe industry, but they've also conducted activities in the metalworking sector. Human Rights in China (HRIC)
China-based NGO with a mission to "promote universally recognized human rights and advance the institutional protection of these rights" in China. Reports frequently on people being indicted or imprisoned for conducting human rights activities.
