Berthold Huber, Président de la FIOM

Berthold Huber a été élu Président de la Fédération internationale des organisations  de travailleurs de la métallurgie en mai 2009 au 32ème Congrès mondial de la FIOM à Göteborg.

Né le 15 février 1950 à Ulm/Donau, Allemagne, Berthold Huber est membre de IG Metall depuis 1971.

Après avoir terminé son apprentissage d'outilleur, il a travaillé chez Kässbohrer (maintenant Evo-Bus) à Ulm. En 1978, il a pris la direction du comité d'entreprise et du comité d'entreprise général de Kässbohrer. Il est devenu en 1990 permanent à temps plein chez IG Metall en Allemagne de l'Est, et a occupé le poste de Directeur du Bureau du Président en 1991.

En 1998, M. Huber est devenu Directeur régional du Bade-Wurtemberg avant d'être nommé Vice-Président de IG Metall en 2003. Il est Président de IG Metall depuis 2007.
