Adrie Papma is the Director of Alliance Building at Novib/Oxfam Netherlands. Since taking on this role in 2002, Adrie has been responsible for several of Novib/Oxfam Netherlands’s campaigns, including the “Make Trade Fair” campaign and the “Play Fair at the Olympics” campaign.
Oxfam’s “Make Trade Fair” campaign calls on governments, institutions and multinational companies to change the rules so that trade can become part of the solution to poverty, not part of the problem.
The “Play Fair at the Olympics” campaign called on the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and global sportswear companies to clean up their act and stop violating the rights of millions of workers around the world.
Adrie will be addressing the IMF Congress about her experience of working with trade unions on these campaigns.
